Mathcounts

MATHCOUNTS Do you love solving math problems? Do you like to compete with other math wizards? Is your brain “wired” for some new, exciting, and amazing challenges? Starting Wednesday, October 23rd Open to all 7th and 8th grade students Practice is most Wednesdays in Ms. Kornmann’s room until 4:00 pm, room 123 Bring pencil, paper, and a calculator Be prepared to stretch your math thinking and logical reasoning skills Bring friends who also aren’t afraid to tackle rigorous math problems

Costa Rica 2021

Costa Rica 2021 trip enrollment is half full! Enrollment continues for the FCJ 2021 Costa Rica Conservation Expedition. If you like the sound of a howler monkey alarm clock and learning to surf, sign up for the Costa Rica Conservation Expedition. The trip is half fulll. There will be no space available beyond 24 travelers. Contact Mr. Sturges or Ms. Eisinger with questions.

Change of Date for High School Musical Jr Auditions

Students planning to audition for High School Musical, Jr, we have moved the dates to Wed, Nov 20 and Thur, Nov 21. We will have more information at the Audition Workshop on Wed Nov 13th. You will have to re-submit your online form. I repeat, you will have to re-submit your online form.

Academics/Guidance News

Free Math Tutoring

Free Math Tutoring is available every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 AM for all 7th and 8th grade students. Students should be in the cafeteria by 7 AM, and Ms. Kornmann will get you for free math tutoring.

English Help Available

English tutoring will be available on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7 am. Please meet in the cafe and a teacher will be there to greet you!

Club Information

Sign up for the Kindness Rocks! Club

Join Mrs. Moore in room 116 Wednesday's after school starting October 23rd to paint rocks with encouraging messages of hope and happiness! We'll listen to music, paint rocks, eat some snacks, and enjoy each other's company. Then we'll drop the rocks around our community for people to randomly find and give them a positive thought to make their day!

8th Grade Boys Basketball

The 8th grade boys basketball team started out their season with two wins over Mt. Vernon Wednesday night. The team was led by Donovan Hamiltons 18 points and Deion Miles 16 points. The team got off to a hot start and never looked back winning 57 - 24. The B team won 67 - 15 and had all 10 guys score in the first half. The B team was led by Donovan Rhodes 11 points.

8th Grade Boys Basketball results

The 8th grade boys basketball team picked up two more wins Thursday night. The A team won 55 to 18 led by Deion Miles 16 points and Eli Robinson's 10 points. Gavin Papandria also chipped in 8 points. The B team won 55 to 20 and was led by Alex Billmans 11 points. Ashton Hunt and Brody Carlson added 9 points and Eli Carlson had 8.

7th Grade Boys Basketball Results

The 7th grade boys basketball A and B teams have both gotten off to 2-0 starts this season. Against Mount Vernon Wednesday night, the A team won 40-30. They were led by Cameron Behlmer with 9 points and Josh Logan with 7 points. The Falcons won the B game 45-14 and were led by Quintin Tarbet with 17. Thursday night, the Falcons A team overcame a sluggish first half to defeat Noblesville East 45-37. The Falcons were led by Braeden Totton with 14 and Jacob Thomas with 13. In the B game, the Falcons won 60-16 and were led by Quintin Tarbet with 26 points and Carter Kerney with 13 points.
