2020 Fall Creek Junior High Costa Rica Conservation Expedition

Would you like to learn to surf…in Costa Rica? How about hiking to a waterfall in the rainforest? Does spending time at a sea turtle field station collecting data on many different kinds of animals sound good? All this will happen in July 2020, as we spend 11 days in Costa Rica. Students taking Spanish will also have the opportunity to practice their Spanish skills while collecting data alongside bilingual research assistants.

Due to the size of the research station, the trip will be limited to 16 students. The trip is open to current seventh grade students only. A parent information meeting will be held on Thursday, January 24th at 6:00 pm in the Fall Creek Junior High Media Center with Mr. Sturges. A representative from Walking Tree Travel, who has lived in Costa Rica, will be joining us via Skype. Enter through door two.

Walking Tree Travel, a partner of Smithsonian Student Adventures, will guide us along the way. See the website below for trip itinerary and registration information. Please contact the trip organizer, Mr. Eric Sturges, with questions.
